ABOUT

The specific objectives of the FLAVEaT project

Jordan has a productive and promising food industry, which is thought to hold about 50% of the local market share together with other closely associated industries. The food industry also makes up nearly 15% of Jordan’s overall industrial facilities.

The issue of food is very important and touches the Palestinian national security. What the Palestinian consumer faces most, is the large number of spoiled food promoters. Palestinians spend around 38% of their disposable income on food. Thus, food legalisation is an important growth sector and will create job opportunities for many unemployed youth.

The project will draw knowledge from the participating EU Institutions, which offer courses on food legislation VET training and adapt it to the needs of the VET providers in Jordan and Palestine.
